As senior project management consultant, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Master of Building Construction from the University of Florida and have received the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).  I have developed integrated schedules for DOE, FAA, NASA, Bell Helicopter, Lucent Technologies, America on Line, Southern California Edison, Duke Energy and Florida Power and Light.  My Program Management background includes construction, engineering, nuclear power generation and transmission, defense and aerospace, IT and telecommunications. 

 

I have over thirty years in all phases of program management and project controls including estimating, scheduling, cost control, earned value, and risk management. Project Management Consultant/Project Controls Analyst

Extended Power UpRate (EPU) Project - Point Beach, St Lucie & Turkey Point Nuclear Stations - Developed cost and scheduling project controls systems for both the Licensing and the Modification Design Schedules for the EPU Project at corporate headquarters and then assumed the lead scheduler role at the Turkey Point site to coordinate FPL scheduling efforts and interface with the project controls department of the prime construction vendor.

 

FPL Corporate Headquarters - Juno Beach Production Engineering Group (PEG) - Developed cost and scheduling project controls systems for both St. Lucie and Turkey Point Nuclear Engineering departments.  Tested and evaluated various software options, (i.e. Microsoft Project, Primavera P3 and Deltek Open Plan) and analyzed requirements and available system/data resources to provide optimal scheduling solution.  Developed, custom report formats for line and senior management use.  Maintained engineering schedules for a 6000 activity network and provided coordination between senior engineering management and discipline lead engineers.

 

St. Lucie Nuclear Station - Developed sophisticated, highly detailed, project control tools for production engineering group. Facilitated transition between P/2 (mainframe) and P3 (Primavera/PC applications); Directed development of on-site maintenance scheduling program. Developed outage schedules during steam generator replacement outage.

 

Turkey Point Nuclear Station - Developed and maintained Project/2 schedules for Emergency Diesel Generator Replacement and Security Systems Upgrade Projects as well as dual unit outage. In addition, I provided technical guidance, training, and system administration for the capital projects’ scheduling group.

 

As technical team leader, supervised schedulers and engineers in the Turkey Point Integrated Schedule Program development, culminating in an NRC license amendment. Established cost/schedule integration, developed enhanced PCP computer cost program, designed graphic and tabular reports, produced and issued monthly report packages to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Subsequently was assigned the role as Integrated Schedule Program Manager where I established and implemented policy consistent with Nuclear Regulatory licensing amendment and corporate goals in maintaining the Florida Power & Light Integrated Schedule.

San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) - Construction of Unit3, Startup of Unit2 & Maintenance of Unit1 Coordinated computerization of cost and schedule data on PROJECT/2, PCP & RDP (respectively, schedule, cost/payroll and resource quantity tracking systems); supervised technicians in the collection of data, its input, and verification; built schedules, formatted reports; statused progress, estimated change orders, and determined required resource allocation from labor and quantity reports.

LUCENT - BROADBAND DIVISION – HUNT VALLEY, MARYLAND/CLEARWATER, FLORIDA (1998-2001)

Program Management Consultant

Developed an Integrated Engineering/Procurement/Installation resource loaded schedule for tele-communications projects spanning 13 states and covering a multitude of technologies.  Integrated P3 schedules with legacy database systems and established WEB site reporting.  Developed the resource structure necessary to analyze critical material and manpower requirements for Bell Atlantic division of Lucent Technologies. Supported development of program management software infrastructure for the enterprise version of the resources planning tools “Game Plan”.

 

Developed project controls tools for an emerging broadband division of Lucent Technologies in Clearwater, Florida. Managed the acquisition, configuration, and implementation of a suite of Oracle applications to work in concert with the Primavera P3 scheduling system.
